We all have those pieces in our closet – the one’s that you bought a couple years ago and feel are exhausted of all potential outfit combinations. The ones you still love but just don’t know what to do with anymore. The ones you’re subsequently considering passing on to another owner via thrift shop or recommerce.

Sometimes shopping sustainably is donating or selling the pieces you just don’t love anymore. But sometimes it’s shopping your closet, falling back in love with older pieces, and reintroducing them into your wardrobe.

Lately, I’ve been trying to get a bit more creative with my outfits. I like seeing how certain pieces can be layered, tucked-in, and altered to feel brand new to me. Restyling an older trendy piece or a well-loved closet staple is a fun wardrobe challenge. By getting more wear out of your pieces, you shop a bit less. And by shopping less, you delay that piece going into a landfill a little longer.

In this post I’m restyling four wardrobe items to feel new again. Maybe you’ll get some inspiration with the outfit combinations you see here to reimagine some pieces in your own wardrobe!
